Shane Bray
Founder
Shane Bray has spent his career on both sides of senior care: at the bedside, and inside the health plans that pay for it. He began as a nurse, and that clinical grounding still shapes how he approaches every family Bayou works with.
As Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, he was responsible for how hundreds of thousands of members navigated their coverage, the calls, the questions, the moments when a health plan either helps or gets in the way.
Earlier, at Willis Towers Watson, he led the design of a national Medicare marketplace: the place retirees went to choose their own coverage when they left an employer plan. Helping people make a high-stakes decision they have never made before, with real information in front of them, has been the through line of his work ever since.
He holds degrees in nursing, chemistry, and computer science, and builds the technology behind Bayou's tools.
